Monday Feast with Friends, August 8

If you did not make it to the dinner on August 8 you missed a real treat. We had a wonderful evening with Bernie Marcus speaking. It was a great opportunity to hear a few inside stories on the building of such a grand structure. It is important to add that each month, Kent Garner helps to clean the aquarium, donning his scuba gear and all. I am content to stay on the other side of the glass!

A quick summation of W&W's past

Hello after a long absence of posting! Yes, we had our championship awards dinner last night, but before I post about that, here are a few tidbits about Wine and Wickets past. This is a quick rundown of events.

August 8th seems so far away now, but I have to congratulate Pfil Hunt and Alan McDonald on a great day of play. They were the last ones standing in the shootout. I don't have it written down who won, so maybe someone can enlighten me. 
I want to thank Jean Irwin for some outstanding food on the 8th as well!

I was in Florida on the 15th and I want to thank Susan Bagwell and Paul Cooper for filling in for me. I was thinking of you all, toasting you with a glass of wine in my hand! Thanks also to Kathy Balistreri and Jean Barger for snack delivery. 

I returned to be at August 22 W&W and congrats to Susan Bagwell for winning one of the shootouts. I hear Paul was given the prize by mistake....

Monday Feast with Friends, August 8

This is a reminder about our upcoming Monday night Feast with Friends. We are happy to welcome Bernie and Billi Marcus, speaking about the Georgia Aquarium. If you haven't been there yet, please take a moment to check out their site www.georgiaaquarium.org and "dive in". As a native Atlantan myself, I am thrilled that my city has been blessed with such a fabulous jewel. I would highly recommend a visit as there are exhibits to entice any age group.
Please invite your friends and don't forget to make a reservation. I am looking forward to an entertaining evening, after another fun round of croquet with friends.
