Monday, July 11, a busy day

Cheers to all who played in the second Interclub match with Chattooga. The final score was Chattooga - 31, Lake Toxaway - 27. We support your efforts and there are still two matches remaining! Anyone who is interested can call Don Molitor to see if there are openings available.

Thanks to all who came out to play at Wine and Wickets on the 11th. We had a fabulous turnout and although we didn't have our "shootout" at the end, many newcomers got to come and get on the green and play. We are looking forward to grass sprouting on the new court. It needs to hurry up and grow for all of the new players we have.

Also, thanks to our "snackettes" of the week, Lee Davenport and Bess DeLaPerriere. We applaud all of you who have brought something to the table. We do have 2 openings for August 1 and one opening for August 8. Please let me know if you need to be reimbursed for your food purchases.

Our Feast With Friends was another well attended event with 126 of us showing our support to hear Dr. Bob Hayward from PARI. We may not have the knowledge he and others there have, but that makes it all the more important to visit the facility.  Another reminder: you can visit the site at www.pari.edu just to see what they offer. I took a tour of the facility with Dr Joe Philips as our guide; he was an excellent host.
